So another year has come and gone, and as 2015 is but a puppy in the proverbial scheme of things, 2014 is as dead as Mickey Rooney (too soon?) leaving nothing but memories in its wake.
Don’t you just love airports? I realize this isn’t a sentiment that too many people share, even so it’s one of my favorite places in the world. Maybe it’s the photographer in me that like to see this place so filled with emotion. Families greeting their loved one’s not knowing if it’s the last time they will see each other, lovers reunited after long trips apart, business people traveling together with that light spread of awkwardness and uncertainty.
For the past four years I have been yearning for a life that I once had a taste of, a life of travelling, a life of a wanderer. I have yearned for nothing more but to see as much as I can from the outside world and break the shackles of the so-called normality that others from small towns and even bigger cities cling to.
